The Changing Face Of Poems About Christ

By Kelly Wood

A poem is a musical representation of wordings and melodies that bring some form of rhythm to the mind of the reciter of the poem as well as the audience who receives the message. The poem is normally used to present certain information that touches on critical or important issues within the society at large. The poems about Christ is the words spoken in a musical way but is directly taking the faith of Christ Jesus.

It is usually used as a medium to teach on some issues that affect the lives of the people. The information is all concerning politics, economy, the culture as well as the social issues that touch the community directly.

In the recent days, there are several revolutions that have taken place and even the churches have not been left out. No wonder Jesus talks about it when He tells the disciples the emergence of the falls prophets, where He says that the miracles to be performed by the falls prophets will deceive all in the world including the very elect.

Otherwise it can be as bad as that person who opened the church of devil and is recruiting members into it to worship the devil. There are, therefore, a bad and a good poem and so we have to differentiate them to see the distinction between the two.

Of course, all the verses in the Bible are of good representation of how God should be worship; many have really done the opposite. It is not that Bible does not recognize this mode of worship, yes they are there and recognized, and however, how they are used is the problem.

The secular musical systems and rhythms have been brought into the church system and form of worship such as they have now formed part and parcel of the church worship. This has again led to the distortion of the prayer systems further leading to the emergence of the wrong poem that are of worldly nature than Godly.

They therefore represent the world and not the true worship. Poem is good especially those that talk about the Savior Jesus Christ. However, they are to be as pure as possible to represent how the gospel is very pure, holy and virgin to the whole world.

We are not just saying that the poem is bad, no and absolute no, it is good but only when used wisely to spread the gospel. At times it can be used to pass the information about the true salvation but however it is used to represent the other side of the coin depending on the context in which it is used.

The most common poems about Christ have been corrupted to the extent that one cannot be able to fully differentiate it from the earthly poems. The corruption comes with majorly the introduction of the rhythm, melody, beats and the message including the language being used in the poem.
