A Spiritual Adventure Can Be Awesome

By Essie Osborn

Human beings are always quite curious about a number of events and situations that happen upon this planet. Many of them will take a spiritual adventure in order to get the answers that they so desperately seek. Sometimes they are given presented with difficult tasks in life that can really alter their lives. Quite a few individuals will take advice from movie characters that they will see on the big screen. "Eat, Pray, Love" dealt with this particular subject some years ago.

During the movie this woman finds love and happiness in all of the right places. She travels to far away lands in order to obtain useful guidance. New York City was the home to one young man who decided to take a similar trip once he had enough cash. He had a wonderful job that gave him enough time off to do this venture.

His parents were originally from Europe and they left this place after they were married. Once they were wed this couple decided to head to America and never return to their homeland again. Their son really wanted to know about his family tree since this had always been such a big mystery. His first stop was Ireland and he received a very warm welcome from his foreign relatives.

He was fortunate enough to stay with them for a few days and learn from each person within this special household. It was also great that his relatives knew so much about his parents and their parents while they were alive. Unfortunately all of his parental guardians had already died and he was quite alone in America.

He would learn many Irish tunes from his cheerful uncle who liked to eat and drink many times during the day. This good uncle would always have a bit of whiskey in his coffee, tea or milk. It made him a more relaxed and friendly person. The aunt enjoyed cooking delicious foods. Once this fun was over he took off for Scotland.

While visiting Scotland he was able to stay with a great uncle from his mother's side of the family. He and the uncle had great fun since they had so many things in common. It was indeed fortunate that his older uncle enjoyed playing good music with his bagpipes.

These two males had acquired so much information from one another and they created a special bond with each other. It appeared that they would be friends for life even when the younger gentleman returned to the great city in New York. His last stop would be in London which is a great city within England. Even though his relatives in this part of the world were already gone.

It truly saddened his heart that they had all died but he realized that life must go on. He took the time to visit the graveyard and place flowers upon many of his relatives graves. Once he returned to his job within Manhattan he felt truly satisfied about his trip abroad.
