Religions existed for several years. They are made to gather individual who have the same belief and observe several practices. There are popular personalities who also made impression to a lot of people and organizations across the globe.

Establishing a Church is such a difficult thing to do. But Bishop Charles Harrison Mason have made remarkable feat that other people recognized to be overwhelming and tough. He was the founder and also the first Senior Bishop of the Church of God in Christ. Born in 1864, Mason has significantly contributed to the growing faith and religion in some parts of United States. At first, it started small, but many people slowly appreciate and recognize the importance of the Church he had built.

As a young child, his greatest influence in religion began to his parents education and instilled values. In 1879, he joined a particular missionary and was later on baptized as Christian. Even though he greatly opposed the idea of becoming a clergyman since he was only dedicated to be a lay member, he eventually become one. Sadly, he contracted with tuberculosis which greatly made him suffer.

Because great hospitals and clinics are not present on their small community, patients heavily depend on small medical establishments which only provide small help. Masons father, Jerry met his demise from tuberculosis, forcing the family to relocate to Arkansas. But upon moving, his conditions worsened. It was the dedicated prayers of his mother and siblings which helped him overcome things.

At age 27, he began his ministerial career. Later on, he entered a Baptist College, but he withdrew after three months because he was dissatisfied of the methodology and the curriculum that the institution observed. His claimed was that the teachings were too liberal and are not strong enough to highlight the Word of God. Most people agree that he always stick to his beliefs.

He had traveled in various domestic and international territories to gained experience. Mason was not actually exclusive to ministry because he simply preached in lot of places and churches all over the United States. Additionally, he also underwent numerous activities too. In 1911, he developed the first auxiliary and department of Church which revolve around kids and women.

Should it revolves his personal life, Charles married Alice Saxton. After two years, however, Saxton has ended their relationships because she lost interest on his ministerial lives. A year after she died due to a tragic illness, he married Leila Washington and fortunately had seven children. It was on 1961 of November 17 at the age of 97 in which he meet his demise.

Just like with other professionals, there are people who have been inspired by his works and achievements. And because of that, they start to follow and read his works. This only goes to show how memorable and excellent the life of such bishop.

Every person and organization that made good impression would definitely have stories to suggest. When you find yourself interested with regard to something, do your research. There are a lot of things to learn through the use of the unlimited resources.
