Great actors like Sylvester Stallone, Rob Lowe, Goldie Hawn, Demi Moore, Sigourney Weaver, Harrison Ford, Eddie Murphy and Meryl Streep are always interesting. "Acting for America : Movie Stars of The 1980s" is one great novel to read.

One great thespian named Meryl Streep is always happy to receive attention from her loyal fans. This is a woman who can play any character that is written upon paper. She showed off her singing ability in a film called "Mama Mia" which earned millions of dollars. Before this particular film Ms. Streep played the lead character in "Sophie's Choice" and a host of other great productions. English people loved her performance as Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady."

A young comedian named Eddie Murphy really showed America that he had talent back in the 80's. "Saturday Night Live" took a gamble on him and won big. He is a true 80's star that has been a role model for young men of color.

"Raider's of The Lost Ark" fans know that Harrison Ford can really carry a good quality movie. Mr. Ford is one of the best looking men in Hollywood and he started his career many years ago playing a bellman. He rarely plays a character that is negative or stereotypical.

Even though Mr. Ford is now in his 70's he still is a strong male lead actor who can be paired with anyone around. The novel tells about how he got his start into this particular career field. Many people do not know that he had originally went into the carpentry business.

A pretty young lass named Demi Moore can be seen in many movies that are playing around the world. Janine Turner portrayed her younger sister Laura and the two of them reinvented this show in a matter of months. So many people growing up in today's society only know about her successful film career since she was such a hit in the film "Ghost."

"Alien" really helped Sigourney Weaver become a household name back in the late 70's and early 80's. Sigourney got the chance to portray a woman named Ripley and she was a true firecracker. Her father Sylvester L. Weaver Jr. Created the "Today" show which is seen on NBC in America. Mr. Weaver taught his daughter to be a strong and independent woman.

People everywhere are always doing a "Rocky" imitation since this is a classic character created by Sylvester Stallone. Mr. Stallone hit gold when he created Rocky and his sensational group of friends.
